July 9, 1951 ---- December 3, 2018

Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Peterson of Stavanger Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.

Delwyn LaRayne Peterson was born July 9, 1951, to Roland and Clara Mae Peterson in Belmond, Iowa. He attended schools in Hanlontown, Lake Mills, Belmond and then graduated from Garner Hayfield High School in Iowa. On April 8, 1982, he married Jill Knutson of Marseilles, who survives.

Del worked for Winnebago, Borg Warner and G. E. Plastics in Ottawa until his retirement. He served in the US Army. He enjoyed bowling and golfing with his many friends and RVing with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Del is survived by his wife, Jill; a son-in-law, Brad Herzog; five grandchildren, Zachary Bonnell, Hunter Herzog, Brittney Keafer, Kira Herzog, Karlee Herzog; several great-grandchildren; his brothers, Melvin, Dennis, Duane and Leon Peterson; his sisters, Karna Mae Janssen, Sondra and Laura Peterson; a mother-in-law, Lois Leich; and sisters-in-law, Lynn (Gary) Olson and Mary Knutson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Korby Herzog, whom he dearly loved; his parents; brothers, Roland, Merlin and Lauren Peterson; a sister, Shirley Stenersen; and a brother-in-law, Owen Knutson.
