Margaret Jean Bawn, was born November 14, 1923, at Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of George and Mamie Braden Bawn.

She was educated in the Eagle Grove schools, and attended Eagle Grove Junior College.

Margaret was united in marriage to Del Deischer, of Eagle Grove, on June 20, 1943, in Los Angeles. Calif. while Del was in the armed services, returning to Eagle Grove in 1946. The family lived in Webster City, Marshalltown, and West Des Moines for a number of years, and for the last five years, had resided in Clear Lake.

She was admitted to Mercy Hospital, Mason City, on July 27, and died there on Saturday, August 1, at the age of 57 years, 8 months, and 17 days.

Margaret is survived by her mother, Mamie Bawn of Eagle Grove, Del of Des Moines, a son, Dennis, of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Penny Sandvig, Eagle Grove, and four grandchildren.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, and the Order of The Eastern Star.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 3, at 2 p.m., in the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Rev. Carl Jensen officiated, and the burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
