Robert Lee DeForest, 38, son of Mr. and Mrs. George DeForest, died at the home of his parents Sunday morning. He had been ill for some time and was in the hospital for several days but had been brought home Saturday.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at the First Methodist church, in charge of Rev. Lyle Lieder. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Robert is survived by his parents and one sister Shirley. Mrs. John VanHoy of Chase City, Va.

Mrs. VanHoy was here for the services, also Mr. DeForest's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. F. Ray DeForest of Cincinnatti, Ohio.
