Marguerite A. (Kubitschek) Skaggs, 90, formerly of Country Club Drive, died Friday, Aug. 17, 1990, in Friendship Village Health Center, Kalamazoo. She was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and graduated from high school there. She came to Battle Creek after high school and attended the old Battle Creek College. She lived in Gull Lake for three years, moving from there to Friendship Village in 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of Battle Creek's St. Philip Catholic Church and its Women's Guild, the Battle Creek Country Club and Leila Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening and golfing.

She is survived by a daughter, Margaret A. Hogan of Gull Lake; five granddaughters; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children and by her husband, Allison E. Skaggs, co-founder of the professional management organization of Black and Skaggs Association, in 1984. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Philip Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools Fund. Arrangements are by Farley-Estes Funeral Home.
