Bruce Funeral to Be Held Sunday at Iowa Falls

Iowa Falls, la. – Funeral for Mrs. Samuel R. Bruce, 48, will be Sunday at 2:30 p. m. at the Wilbur funeral home. Rev. William E. Butler, pastor of the First Methodist church, will be assisted by Rev. J. C. Shirk, Iowa Falls, retired Methodist minister. Interment will be in Union cemetery here.

Mrs. Bruce was found dead on the floor of a downstairs room Friday by her husband. She had been in poor health for several months, but had been apparently making recovery. It is believed that she suffered an attack during the night and had gone down stairs and collapsed.

Josephine Espe was born at Stanhope, la., on Jan. 28, 1887, but lived her early life in Eagle Grove, la. She was a member of the Methodist church of Eagle Grove. She was married to Mr. Bruce of Hampton, la., Aug. 21, 1909. They came to Iowa Falls over 15 years ago.

She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, While Shrine and Iowa Falls Woman's club.

Survivors besides her husband are two sons, James Bruce, Iowa Falls, and Richard Bruce, Waterloo, Ia.; three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. E. J. Long, Prairie, Minn.; Mrs. Herbert Gillette, Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs Laurence Lingle, Norwood, Ohio; W. O. Espe, Minneapolis, Minn.; S. O. Espe, Welcome, Minn., and T, M Espe, Santa Fe, N. M.
