Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday.

Floyd was born July 24, 1935 on a farm near Blairsburg, Iowa, to Oscar J. and Mildred (Nye) Keller. In 1941, the family bought and moved to the farm northwest of Clarion where Floyd resided at the time of his death. Floyd always dreamed of owning this farm and that became a reality when his mother passed in 1996 and he and Norma purchased the farm.

Floyd attended Lake No. 5 Country School for grades 1-8. He attended Clarion High School, graduating in 1952. After high school, he farmed with his dad, raised cattle and worked at Hagie Manufacturing for three years. In 1966, he began working in the Tool Room at Minneapolis Honeywell, and continued there for 30 years until his retirement in 1996. During these years, he held different positions in the Tool Room. He headed up the Heat Treat/Welding, did cutter grinding, and other types of tool making. His favorite job was repairing the precision equipment in the Tool Room as Floyd enjoyed fixing things and making improvements. He was always thinking how he could make something work better, easier and safer.

On April 24, 1975, he married Norma Lunde in Minneapolis, where they lived and worked until retiring and moving to the farm.

He is survived by his wife Norma of Clarion, brother Glenn of Aurora, Colorado, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Mildred Keller, brother Robert, sister Mildred and her husband Leonard Peck, and nephews James Peck and David Keller.
