June 3, 1892 ---- May 30, 1974

COLUMBUS, MT - Mrs. Elsie Harsha, 82, died Thursday at Stillwater Community Hospital. She was born June 3, 1892 in Clarion, Iowa, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Cree. She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College and taught school in Twodot and Harlowton. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Home Demonstration Club and the Women's Fellowship Club of the Congregational Church. She was married to Avery Harsha, June 26, 1919, in Livingston. They farmed on the Countryman Creek near Reedpoint until 1951, when they moved to Columbus. He died in 1968. Survivors include a son, Robert Harsha, of Columbus; a brother, Theo Cree of Mason City, Iowa; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Congregational Church in Columbus. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, with the Rev. Alfred Thompson officiating.
