Funeral services for 72 year old Mary (Mrs. Wayne) Emerson of Eagle Grove are pending at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.

Mary Emerson died Monday at her home in Eagle Grove.

Mary Margaret Haller was born on January 1, 1923, the daughter of Keith and Selma Grotness Haller at Eagle Grove, Iowa. She received her education in the Eagle Grove School System and her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Iowa In 1945. She was united in marriage to Wayne Emerson on February 15, 1947 at Des Moines. They first made their home in Ames while Mr. Emerson completed his training at Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. They returned to Eagle Grove in 1949 where they made their home in the same house she was born in. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.

Mary Margaret Emerson died on Monday, November 13, 1995, in her home. She had attained the age of 72 years, 10 months, and 12 days.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Emerson of Eagle Grove; son, Ron Emerson and wife Sally, Clarion; and daughter, Robyn Reis and husband Ron of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Tannatt and husband Ken, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 16, 1995, 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove with the Reverend Omar Pettersen officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

Willim Funeral Home, Ltd. of Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
