Elias E. Tokheim was born. February 10, 1880 in Odda, Norway to Elias and Gunhild Tokheim. He passed away at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 26 days.

Mr. Tokheim, who was educated in Norway, came to America in 1901 and settled in the Thor area where he engaged in farming. He was united in marriage to Dena Berg on November 21, 1907 at Thor, Iowa. A retired farmer, Mr. Tokheim spent the last 50 years on the present farm. He was a member of the Ullensvang Lutheran Church at Thor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1962 and two sons, Clifford and Harry.

He is survived by 4 sons, Edward M. Tokheim of Vincent and Irvin, James and Charles Tokheim all of Thor; 2 daughters, Winifred, Mrs. Joseph Opheim of Eagle Grove and Elizabeth, Mrs. Clifford Erickson of Dayton, Iowa. He is also, survived by a sister, Jennie Sandven of Eagle Grove; 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
