Robert E. Olson, 71, of West Palm Beach, Fla., died of a heart attack Sunday at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mitchellville Funeral Home, with burial at Mitchellville Cemetery.

Mr. Olson was born in Thor and had lived in Mitchellville most of his life, moving to Florida 10 years ago. He was a retired electrical engineer and was an Air Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Stoll of Bondurant; Helen Wilmot of Clairmont, N.H., and Doris Casperson of Omaha; and four brothers, Ted of Des Moines, Dick of Montezuma, Roger of Arbuckle, Calif., and Don of Downey, Calif.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
