Ardith Ruby Holtan, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born May 23, 1938, to Tillman Askvig and Rose (Borel) Askvig in Goldfield, Iowa. Ardith graduated from Goldfield High School in 1956 and was employed as a key-punch operator at Mayo Clinic, Iowa State University, and IBM from 1956 until 1963.

Ardith married Melroy Holtan on November 29, 1963, and became a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, baking for family and friends, going to her grandchildren's sports events and bringing meals to those who were sick. Ardith liked to attend Hostfest in Minot, ND as well as listening to old time music.

She is survived by her husband Melroy, 2 sons, Bret (Karen) of Menahga, Bruce of Moose Lake, 3 daughters, Lori Bunkholt of Shorewood, Susan (Brad) Olson, of Glencoe, MN, Julie (Kelly) Condiff of Park Rapids, six grandsons, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Darlene (Larry) Kastler and Doris (Bob) Mayes and 3 sisters-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at FaithBridge Church in Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm with the service to follow at 1:00 pm. A lunch will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to FaithBridge Mission Circle.
