CLOVERDALE - Rev. Howard N. Waddell, 77, of 42940 Ocean View Drive, died Saturday in a Lincoln City nursing home. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, he moved to Nyssa in 1942 and lived in Ione and Falls City before moving in 1947 to Garibaldi and then to Camp Wi-Ne-Ma. He was a minister of the Church of Christ at Camp Wi-Ne-Ma and a member of the Ministerial Association.

Survivors include wife, Violet; sons, Maynard F., Otis, Howard R., San Jose, Calif., and Willard L., Rio Linda, Calif.; daughter, Charlotte K. Hatfield, Alaska; brother, Fred, Marion, Kan.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Camp Wi-Ne-Ma Chapel and interment in Oretown Cemetery, Martin's Pacific mortuary in charge.
