Services for Duane Everett Netland, 50, Myrtle Point, Oregon will be held Friday at 10 am, at the Myrtle Point Chapel of Coos Mortuaries with the Rev. Richard Cochran of the First Presbyterian Church in North Bend officiating. Private interment will follow at the Dora Cemetery. Mr. Netland was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Wright County, Iowa, and died April 25 in Myrtle Point, where he had lived for the past 25 years. He was married to Fern Nickason in December 1953 in Myrtle Point, and was a partner with Frank Henry in Semperts Drug Store for many years. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Point. Survivors include his widow, Fern of Myrtle Point; daughter, Melanie Netland of Portland, two sons, Kerry and Jamie, both of Myrtle Point; sister, Donna Wilber of Portland; brother, Dale of Los Angeles, Calif.; mother, Grace Netland of Lebanon; and three nieces. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Oregon Heart Association.
