14 August 1916 ---- 27 November 1930

Margaret Eileen McDaniel only daughter and child of Mr. and Mrs. Herman McDaniel was born in Eagle Grove on Aug. 14, 1916. She was baptized June 8, 1924, in the Methodist church. She was a regular attendant at Sunday school and was in the eighth grade in the public school. She was a member of the Intermediate Epworth League and a cabinet member of that department of the league. She was a member of Mrs. W. P. Allen's Sunday school class.

Margaret was a good girl. As an only child she will be missed sorely in her home where she was such a fine help and good girl to her mother who has been a partial invalid for seven years.

She complained of not feeling well on Wednesday morning but went to school. On Thursday she grew worse and at 10:00 o'clock on Thanksgiving evening she had a collapse and passed away at 1:00 o'clock Friday morning, Nov. 28, 1930, at the age of 14 years, three months and 14 days.

She leaves her father and mother and many friends to mourn their loss. The grief stricken parents have the most tender sympathy of the church and entire community.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church on Monday at 2:00 o'clock, Dec. 1. Rev. W. G. Muhleman preached the sermon. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.

At the funeral services at the church, aside from the large number of friends present, the entire eighth grade of the school, members of Margaret's class, were present. Also the members of her Sunday school class. It was a silent expression, of the public's sincere sympathy for the bereaved parents.
