EAGLE GROVE, IA. - Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home for Mrs. Izetta Yearous, 80, of Minneapolis, Minn., a former Des Moines and Eagle Grove resident, who died Wednesday at a Minneapolis hospital.

Survivors include her husband and a son.

Funeral here for former resident

Funeral services for Mrs. Jesse D. Yearous, 80, a former Eagle Grove resident, were held here Saturday afternoon at Wilson Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Forbes officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Yearous died March 6 at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina, Minn.

Mrs. Yearous was the former Izatta [Izetta] Howe, and was born in Eagle Grove and, attended school here. She was married to Jesse D. Yearous of Eagle Grove in Clarion. They lived in Des Moines for many years and moved to Minneapolis 13 years ago.

She is survived by her husband, one son, and three daughters, and two sisters including Mrs. Hazel Draheim of Clarion and Mrs. V. F. Bunn of Las Vegas, Nev.

OBITUARY

Izetta M. Howe, daughter of Herbert and Mary Hock Howe, was born February 5, 1894 in Eagle Grove where she attended the public schools. On August 4, 1911 she was united in marriage to Jesse D. Yearous in Clarion, and to this union one son and three daughters were born.

The family made their home in Eagle Grove, Madrid and Des Moines before moving to Minneapolis, Minn, thirteen and a half years ago to be near their children. Izetta was a member of the Portland Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis and the Eastern Star of Des Moines.

On Wednesday morning, March 6, 1974 she died in the Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minn. She was 80 years, 1 month and 1 day of age at the time of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse and one son, Jay Dee of Minneapolis; three daughters: Mrs. Don McCullough, Mrs. Robert Chapman and Mrs. James McElwain all of Minneapolis, Minn.; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two sisters: Mrs. Hazel Draheim of Clarion and Mrs. V. F. Bunn of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 9, at 1:00, p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with Rev. Donald L. Forbes officiating. Interment was held in Rose Hill Cemetery.
