Hale Martin Plunkett, son of James M. and Laura Fuson Plunkett was born Jan. 14, 1900, at Bogota, Illinois, and departed this life, April 23rd at the home of his son, James Plunkett, Minister of Lancaster, Pa., Church of Christ. He was united in marriage to Alta Nelson, Dec. 13th, 1925.
He is survived by a son, James; daughter-in-law, Betty; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lester Myers of Bone Gap; two brothers, Creel and Freeman Plunkett of Albion.
He left Bogota, when a young man and worked as a farm hand until he married and farmed with his brother, Lee. In 1949 he left the farm and moved to Goldfield, Iowa. He maintained the White County road until his retirement. About a year ago he suffered a stroke.
Funeral services were held at the Goldfield Park View Church of Christ conducted by Rev. Rayond Clonts, former Bone Gap minister. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, Iowa.
