Funeral services for William H. McCune, 61, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Congregational church. The pastor Dale D. Brown will officiate and he will be assisted by former pastor Walter Ross.
Mr. McCune died Tuesday about 12:30. He had suffered a serious heart attack about a year ago which forced him to retire from his work and he had not been in good health since.
He was born December 26, 1894 in Iowa City and would have been 62 on his birthday this month. Mr. McCune was employed by the Railway Express Company previous to serious illness and had completed 37 years of service for the company.
There will be a Masonic service for McCune at the Kastler Funeral Home on Thursday evening (tonight) at eight o'clock. Masons are to meet at the hall at 7:30 to attend the service in a body.
He is survived by his wife Ina, one daughter Mrs. Collene Van Blair of San Diego, Calif., and one son Bill Jr. of Los Angeles.
Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
