Ardell P. “Buzz” Sturm, 73, of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 4, 1945 in Belmond, Iowa, the son of Albert George and Nellie May (Robertson) Sturm. He was united in marriage to Shirley Stoddard on June 8, 1974 in Humboldt. In his younger years, Ardell worked at various jobs in Belmond, then Algona before becoming employed at Jet Company in Humboldt for 31 years. He loved being with family and friends, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. His favorite shows were westerns, Abbott and Costello and the Little Rascals. He enjoyed playing cards and board games.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Humboldt, his brother, Roy (Leverna) Sturm of Belmond, his sister-in-law, Delores Sturm of Belmond and Karen Sturm of Maricopa, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28th at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
