Services Monday for Oscar Olson

Funeral services for Oscar S. Olson were held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the United Methodist church at Goodell. Rev. Harris Hostager officiated. Graveside services were held in Glena Mound cemetery at Buffalo Center. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mf. Olson died Friday at the Belmond Hospital.

Pallbearers selected were Wesley Boller, Gilbert Kropp, Ben Nolte, Lauretz Peterson, Lee O. Robbins and Lew Waage. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Green, Harold Savogue, Nick Waage and Elmer Kienenberger.

Oscar Severn Olson was born Dec. 26, 1889, at Amboy, Minn., the son of Andrew C. and Elizabeth Reinseth Olson. He was educated at Buffalo Center.

On June 30, 1913, he was married to Bessie Johnston. They farmed near Buffalo Center for a number of years and later he was employed as a telephone lineman and electrician. He had lived in Goodell for the past 23 years.

Preceding him in death were a son Wade, a daughter Vivian, three sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife Bessie, a brother Arthur of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and two sisters: Mrs. Thea Miller and Stella Olson, both of Des Moines.
