Jaunita M. Gross, died on Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, at the age of 61. Survivors include her husband, Danny L. Gross, Eagle Grove; children: Tim Gross, and wife, Freda, Eagle Grove, Lucinda Atchison, and husband, Dale, Spencer, Iowa, Richard Gross, Eagle Grove, Danny C. Gross, Webster City, Iowa, and Kathleen Gross, Eagle Grove; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Gross; brothers, Wesley and Charles Elliott; one sister-in-law, Janice Elliott; and one brother-in-law.

Jaunita Marlene Elliott, the daughter of Clifford W. and Minnie (Long) Elliott, was born on November 9, 1940, in Pilot Mound, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Boone High School. She was united in marriage to Danny L. Gross on June 25, 1960, in Eagle Grove. She worked at Dermond's Cafe in Webster City, and was a licensed day care provider.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 19, at 10:30 a.m., at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Burial was held in the Hazelgreen Cemetery in rural Iowa Falls, Iowa, at 1:30 p.m. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
