Mrs. Ella Nelson was born Nov. 17, 1891 to Mr. and Mrs. Chris Ulvin on a farm approximately four miles west of Goldfield in Humboldt County. She lived with her parents there and graduated from the Goldfield High School. Remaining to live with her parents following graduation, she did some periodic teaching in the general area.

On Feb. 26, 1925, Ella was united in marriage with Edwin Nelson of Goldfield. The have lived and farmed in the Evergreen neighborhood until this time. Shortly following marriage, Ella united in membership with the United Presbyterian church in Goldfield, where she has ever since been active and interested. Her influence was keenly felt among younger people.

In May 1963 Ella was given hospital care. She died on Feb. 8 at the Rotary Ann Home at Eagle Grove.

Left to mourn their loss are: her husband Edwin; daughter, Mrs. Marion Beiser of Dayton, Ohio, three grandchildren, and a host of friends.
