Norma Hilpipre, 85, Webster City, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000 at the Crestview Manor Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Asbury United Methodist Church with pastoral assistant, Cindi O'Brien, officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and prior to the service on Saturday.

Norma June Baker, daughter of Vern and Esther Norman Baker, was born in 1914 at Osborn, MO. On Feb. 26, 1933, she married Maurice Proctor and had two daughters. The couple later divorced. On July 3, 1942 she married Clarence Kastler at Bethany, MO. The couple resided in Woolstock where they operated Kastler Grocery. Mr. Kastler died Feb. 1, 1974. In Jan. of 75, she married Leo Hilpipre at Centerville. The couple resided in Webster City. He died June 18, 1992. She had worked various places in Webster City, including Nissen's, Hamilton County Hospital and Northwestern Bell, from where she retired in 1974.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Donald Sandt of Kiester, MN., Marcy and Al Shehorn of Webster City, six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brothers: Wesley Baker of Minneapolis, Keith Baker of Webster City, sister: Zada Sharkey of Webster City, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Paul and Kermit Baker, sister Virginia Smalley.
