Albert Tokheim was born February 1, 1892, at Thor, Ia., the son of Jorgen and Anna Aadna Tokheim. He was educated in the Thor school and Humboldt College, Humboldt. He farmed for a time near Thor, then moved to Cedar Rapids in 1935, where he was employed by the Tokheim Company. After several years, he left the company to work at the carpenter trade. He retired in 1957. Albert maintained his home in Cedar Rapids until a month ago when he entered St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, where he died on Sunday, October 13, at the age of 82 years, 8 months, and 12 days. He is survived by one brother, Ole Tokheim, Oelwein; and one sister, Mrs. Hannah Johnson, Thor. He was preceded in death by two sisters, and three brothers. Mr. Tokheim was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 16th at the Ullensvang Lutheran Church, Thor. Pastor Marlin Ingebretson of Thor and Dr. George W. Carlson of the 1st Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, officiated
and burial was in the East Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor.
