LILA M. RUSLEY
Lila M. Ingraham was born on her father's farm near Dows, Iowa, on April 9, 1908, and attended country schools at Dows and Clear Lake until fourth grade when the family moved to Swaledale, Iowa, where she attended a consolidated school and graduated in 1926. She married Richard A. Rusley in Rockwell, Iowa, on October 10, 1930. They lived in Mason City until 1943 when they moved to Eagle Grove. She taught country schools near Clear Lake, Swaledale, and Eagle Grove, and finally in the Woolstock school system. She graduated from Eagle Grove Junior College in 1958. Lila M. Rusley died at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove on June 13, 1996, where she had lived for 23 years. Survivors include her son, Roger, of Denver, Colo.; four grandsons; and five great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Rusley, and four brothers. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 17, 1996, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove, Iowa, with Father Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
