John Imboden has received word from Roswell, N.M., that his son's wife, Mrs. J. C. Imboden, died there last Sunday, and her remains will be brought here for burial. Mrs. Imboden was the daughter of Henry Wilcox and was well known here. She has been afflicted with asthma and moved to Oklahoma for change of climate and a few months ago went to New Mexico but no permanent relief was realized. She leaves a little three year-old child and husband.

Funeral of Mrs. J. C. Imboden
Iva Almira Wilcox was born in Troy Twp., Iowa, Oct. 29th, 1875 and died in New Mexico Sunday, April 20th, 1903, age 27 yrs., 4 mo. and 28 days. Miss Wilcox grew to womanhood in the place of her birth, where she is well and favorably known. Nov. 14, 1895, she was married to J. C. Imboden, and one child, a daughter now three years old was born to them. Mrs. Imboden has been a sufferer from Asthma for several years, and the family moved to Oklahoma, hoping the change of climate would prove beneficial and their hopes seemed to be realized until Mrs. Imboden caught a severe cold while here last July attending the funeral of Mr. Imboden's mother. The cold terminated in consumption which proved fatal in spite of all that could be done for her. The funeral was held at the Baptist church Friday May 1st at 2 o'clock, Rev. F. O. Bump officiating. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Imboden was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilcox who live in the south part of town. Besides the Husband and infant daughter she leaves her parents, three brothers, and many relatives and friends to mourn her early demise.
