T. P. McNulty Rites Tuesday in Belmond

GOODELL — Thomas P. McNulty, 88, died at the Belmond Hospital Friday after a short illness. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Church, Belmond, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. R. A. Ormsby will officiate. Fulton Funeral Home is in charge.

Born Sept. 25, 1871, at Independence he came here in 1883. He was married to Julia McLaughlin. Nov. 28, 1905. They farmed south of Goodell until moving to Belmond in 1912.

Surviving are his wife, seven children, Marian, Minneapolis; Donald, Goodell: Paul, Barstow, Calif.; Madonna Castle, Cedar Falls; the Rev. Edward J. McNulty, Cedar Rapids; Gerald, Belmond; Patricia Rowe, St. Paul, and eight grandchildren.

Rites held for Thos. P. McNulty

Goodell Special: Funeral services were held at 10:30 o’clock, Tuesday morning for Thos. P. McNulty, 88, of Belmond, at St. Francis Catholic church at Belmond, with burial taking place in St. Francis cemetery there

Thos. P. McNulty was born Sept. 25, 1871, at Independence, lived for many years with his parents on the home farm two miles south of Goodell, coming to this place spring of 1883.

He was married to Julia McLaughlin Nov. 28, 1905 and they continued to live on this farm until Dec. 24, 1912 when they moved to Belmond, which has since been their home.

Mr. McNulty has enjoyed good health until the past few months, when he became ill, entering the hospital at Belmond 2 weeks ago for treatment and care, passing away there on January 29, 1960.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, his children, Marion McNulty, Minneapolis, Minn.; Donald McNulty, Goodell; Paul McNulty, Barstow, Calif.; Mrs. Madonna Castle, Cedar Falls; the Rev. Edward J. McNulty, Cedar Rapids; Gerald McNulty, Belmond; Mrs. Patricia Rowe, St. Paul, Minn.; eight grandchildren, a host of relatives and good friends.
