Irene M. Asche, 65, Eagle Grove, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Franz Schemmel officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation is from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove.

Survivors include husband, Edward; sons, Steve Ackerson, Richard Ackerson, Allan Asche, all of Eagle Grove; and James Ackerson, Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Patty Kist, Eagle Grove; step-daughter, Rhonda (Margo) Tritten, Fort Dodge; brother, Larry French, Flower Mound, Texas; 10 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.

Irene Marie French was born on December 26, 1932, daughter of Raymond and Lola Hanson French at Garner, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1951. In 1959, she married Edward Asche in Kansas. The couple lived in Eagle Grove where she worked at Wilson’s for five years, and the Rotary Ann Nursing Home as a physical therapist for 27 years.

She was Member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

Irene Marie French was born on December 26, 1932, to Raymond and Lola Hanson French at Garner, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1951.In 1959 she was united in marriage to Edward Asche in Kansas. They lived in Eagle Grove where she worked at Wilton’s for five years, and the Rotary Ann Nursing Home as a Physical Therapist for 27 years. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove.

Irene M. Asche died Friday, January 16, 1998, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames at the age of 65.

Survivors include her husband, Edward, Eagle Grove; 4 sons, Steve Ackerson, and wife, Penny, Eagle Grove, Richard Ackerson, Eagle Grove, James Ackerson, Tucson, Ariz., and Allan Asche Eagle Grove; and one daughter, Patty Kist, and her husband, Terry, Eagle Grove; step-daughter, Rhonda (Margo) Tritten, Fort Dodge; a brother, Larry French, and wife Betty, Flower Mound, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; and 5 step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter Marisa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 20, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Reverend Franz Schemmel officiating. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Willim funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
