8 July 1944 ---- 16 November 2002

DiAnne Faye Humrichous, 58

DiAnne Faye Humrichous, died November 16, 2002, in Provena Hospital, Danville, Illinois. DiAnne and her twin sister DeLores were born July 8, 1944, to Alfred and Elner (Thomas) Pehl and grew up on farms in Iowa and Minnesota. Two brothers, Ron and Russ Pehl, completed the family. When she was seven years old, DiAnne trusted Christ Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She graduated from Pillsbury Bible College, Owatonna, Minnesota with majors in Piano and Bible.

DiAnne and Joseph C. Humrichous married June 23, 1967, and continued to prepare for ministry. They served three churches; Summerville, Ga., Red Bank, Tenn., and Calvary Baptist Church, Danville, Ill., where they have spent the last 22 years.

DiAnne made her home comfortable and open to people so that their spiritual needs might be met. She raised four children: Johanna Thurlow married Bob, Jason Humrichous married Jennifer Geivett, Jewel Harkleroad married to John, and Jilla Humrichous, who all love and serve her Lord.

She loved her Bible and taught the children for her church to memorize verses. For seven years, she battled breast cancer as she wanted to live and glorify the lord and bless her grandchildren, David and Lily Thurlow and Lynnea and Benjamin Humrichous. She was at peace with death as her faith in God's promise of salvation was firm and secure to the end. Her family, friends and church will deeply miss her.

Private family graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Georgetown Cemetery. Public memorial service will be at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1632 Georgetown Road. Visitation is 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. In lieu of flowers DiAnne requested that memorials be given to Christian Education Scholarship Fund or Calvary Baptist Church building fund.
