February 26, 1956 ---- February 26, 2019

Mr. Randall 'Randy' R. Barker, 63, of Porter Ranch, California, was born in Iowa on February 26, 1956 and passed away in Woodland Hills, California on February 29, 2019. Randall leaves a legacy of love and integrity with his family and those who knew him. He has left behind wonderful memories of a loving husband, father, and grandfather. We are grateful for each and every day we got to see his glowing smile, and for the lessons learned and all the laughs we shared.

Randall Robert Barker was born in Clarion, Iowa on February 26, 1956 to Emory and Delores Barker. He graduated from Grant High School in 1974 and joined the Air Force in 1975. He attended basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas and then trained to be a Radiology Specialist at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was assigned to Mather AFB in Ranch Cordova, CA where Kristopher was born. He finished his military career at Davis-Monthan, Arizona. He left the Air Force in 1979 and went to work for Kaiser Permanente. He started as a Radiology Technician at Panorama City, then transferred to Woodland Hills where he was promoted to Assistant Department Administrator of Radiology Services. He returned to Panorama City as the Department Administrator of Diagnostic Imaging. After seven years he transferred to Pasadena Regional Offices to work on the electronic imaging system for the organization. He retired from Kaiser in 2014 after 36 years of service. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from CSUN in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Angela; and son, Kristopher, from his first marriage to Donna Lynn. He has three siblings, Duane, preceded in death, Becky, and Paul; and three grandchildren, Eero, Vincent, and Genie Ray.

Randall had many passions and loved to share it with others. Bicycling was his true passion and he rode Ragbrai 33 times consecutively. He loved the HighRollers and the comradery of the team. He often told great stories about his experiences and shared his knowledge freely. He also loved to travel, carpentry, trains, poker, and the Lakers.

Randall set an exemplary role model as a husband, father and grandfather. He was spiritually strong and compassionate, and had a clever sense of humor. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends.

We will miss him more than words can express. We love you. Be at peace.
