McCausland Baby Dies Friday Eve

Robert Lynn McCausland, 27 day old son of Dr. and Mrs. E. J. McCausland, passed away at 5:15 Friday evening, April 15, at the Worthington hospital, following an operation for cystic obstruction of the bowels.

Born March 19th, the lad was in apparent perfect health until last Thursday when be became ill. He was rushed to the Worthington hospital early Friday morning and an operation performed as a last recourse. Love and prayer, the knowledge and skill of physicians and surgeons were in vain in prolonging his life on earth, and his soul slipped away to the Eternal Home. Although his life was short, he endeared himself in the home he blessed.

Besides his grieving parents, he leaves a brother Howard and sister Margaret; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McCausland of Eagle Grove; his maternal grandmother Mrs. Victor Peterson of Mason City, and many other relatives and friends.

Short services were held Monday morning at 9:30 at the home, Rev. Carver of the M. E. church officiating. Mrs. Handley Shafer and Mrs. C. L. Buns sand “When He Cometh” and “Safe in the Arms of Jesus.”

The parents and children, the relatives, and friends accompanied the body to Eagle Grove where short services were held at 3 o’clock at the Kubitschek Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Kilborne of the Congregational church. Interment was in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove.

McCausland Baby Buried Here

Funeral services for Robert Lynn, the month old son of Dr. and Mrs. Earl McCausland of Lake Park, were held here Monday afternoon from the Kubitschek and Kastler Funeral Home. Burial was in the McCausland family lot in Rose Hill cemetery.

Robert Lynn McCausland, son of Dr. and Mrs. E. J. McCausland, was born March 19, 1938 at Lake Park, Iowa, and passed away at the Worthington hospital, Friday evening at 5:15, April 15, 1938 being 27 days old at the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, one brother Howard Dean, one sister, Margaret Ellen, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. McCausland of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Victor Peterson of Mason City, and numerous other relatives.
