CEDAR FALLS—Services for Alfred Menke, 67, of 2425 Center St., are pending at Richardson Funeral Home.

Mr. Menke died at his home Sunday afternoon. He died of cardiac arrest, according to Dr. Jeffrey Crandall, Black Hawk County deputy medical examiner.

CEDAR FALLS—Services for Alfred Menke, 67, of 2425 Center St., will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home in Clear Lake, with burial in Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery in Belmond.

He died Sunday afternoon at his home. He was born April 6, 1914, in Belmond, son of Harm and Anna Groen Menke. Before retiring in 1979, he was employed in the construction industry.

He is survived by three brothers, George of Sunnyvale, Calif., Harm of Rochester, Minn., and Titus of Lake Alfred, Fla.; and a sister. Mrs. Anna Mae Mills of Yuba City, Calif.

Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Alfred Menke

CLEAR LAKE—Alfred Menke, 67, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Clear Lake, died Sunday (Dec. 13, 1981) at his Cedar Falls home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dr. Lyle Lieder officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Reformed Cemetery, Belmond.

Visitation is after noon today at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Menke was born in Belmond, where he attended schools, and moved to Clear Lake around 1943. He served in the Army during World War II.

He worked for Nicholas Turkey Farms, Clear Lake, and Henkel Construction Co., Mason City. In 1962 he moved to Waterloo and worked for Miller Construction Co. until retiring.

He was a member of the AmVets and St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Survivors include three brothers, Titus Menke of Lake Alfred, Fla.; Harm Menke Jr., Rochester, Minn., and George Menke, Sunnyvale, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Anna Mae Mills, Yuba City, Calif.
