MRS. P. QUIGLEY, FORMER RESIDENT OF GOODELL, DIES

HAD BEEN LIVING WITH HER TWO DAUGHTERS AT FORT DODGE

Goodell—This community was saddened last week when it was learned that Mrs. Patrick Quigley had passed away at her home in Fort Dodge Tuesday evening, Aug. 17.

Mary Byrne was born in Ireland, Dec. 6, 1860, and came to the United States when 11 years of age. She was united in marriage to Patrick Quigley and to this union were born eight children.

The Quigleys with their family lived in this location for many years, being engaged in farming. From here they moved to Belmond where they also farmed. Mr. Quigley passed away 22 years ago while they lived near Belmond. They also were preceded in death by an infant son, Peter.

For several years Mrs. Quigley had been in failing health so made her home with her daughters, Bessie and Grace in Fort Dodge.

She is survived by four children, Frank, Patrick and James Quigley, Belmond; Mrs. Joseph Fulton, Bessie and Grace Quigley of Fort Dodge and Mrs. John Nelson, Chicago, Ill., and 18 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Floody, who resides in Castalia.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 Friday morning from the St. Francis church in Belmond with the pastor, the Rev. Robert Ormsby, officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the cemetery south of Belmond.

Mrs. Patrick Quigley Is Buried at Belmond

Goodell—Funeral services for Mrs. Patrick Quigley, 82, were held Friday at the St. Francis church at Belmond with burial in the Catholic cemetery.

Mary Byrne was born Dec. 6. 1860, in Ireland, coming to America at the age of 11 years. She married Patrick Quigley of Goodell. They farmed in this community for many years, moving to Belmond 25 years ago. Mr. Quigley died 22 years ago.

The past three years she made her home with two daughters in Ft. Dodge. She is survived by three sons, Frank, Pat and Jim of Belmond, four daughters, Mrs. Esther Fulton, Bess and Grace of Ft. Dodge and Mrs. Nellie Nelson of La Grange, Ill. A sister, Mrs. Beatrice Floody, lives at Castalia.
