JOHN MELLGREN, 77, retired railroad man from Eagle Grove, Iowa, died here Wednesday.

Mr. Mellgren is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Mellgren; 10 children, Hazel, Josephine and John all Minneapolis; Mrs. A. C. Hanson, Belmond, Iowa; Mrs. Robert Kastler and Mrs. Glenn Barker, both Clarion, Iowa; Mrs. Jack Wells and Mrs. Bernice McCoy, both of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Joseph Askvig, Faribault, Minn., and Oscar of Eagle Grove; a sister, Mrs. Lars Pederson of Minneapolis; three brothers, Henry, Billings, Mont., Hans, Stratford, Iowa, and Severin in Norway; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Samuel Lutheran church at Eagle Grove, with burial in Evergreen cemetery there.

JOHN MELLGREN

Services for John Mellgren, 77, Eagle Grove, Iowa, who died in Minneapolis Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Samuel Lutheran church in Eagle Grove.

Mr. Mellgren was a retired railroad man.

Survivors are his wife, Lena; two sons, John, Minneapolis, and Oscar, Eagle Grove; eight daughters, Hazel and Josephine, both of Minneapolis, Mrs. A. C. Hanson, Belmond, Iowa, Mrs. Robert Kastler and Mrs. Glenn Barker, both of Clarion, Iowa, Mrs. Jack Wells and Mrs. Bernice McCoy, both of Des Moines.
