Linda A. Bruggeman, 65, died Jan. 23, 2019 in Paris, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Andrews Funeral Home. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Meservey Cemetery near her grandparents Roy and Sophie Halfpop.

Linda Ann was born March 16, 1953 in Belmond to Lloyd and Marjorie Halfpop. She graduated from Belmond High School in 1971, then attended NIACC to to become an LPN. She worked at the Belmond hospital and Belmond nursing home for many years. She also worked at Hancock County Co-op Oil as a secretary.

Linda was an avid gardener, loving her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed all crafts, including quilting, crocheting, scrapbooking, baking, and making cakes. She was an animal lover; especially dogs. Linda liked being outdoors and enjoyed golfing. She attended the Belmond United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Culture Study Club and the Belmond Community Service Women.

Linda was married to Wayne Bruggeman for 35 years; they divorced in 2008. She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd and brother Larry. She is survived by her children Melissa Bruggeman Kaufman of Mexico, Missouri, Clarissa (Scott) Jones of Van Meter, and Patty Bruggeman (Rick Etter) of West Des Moines; grandchildren Danielle, Faith and Gunner Jones of Van Meter, Levi Etter (USAF in Italy), and Reagan Etter of Chariton; her mother Marjorie of Belmond; brother Allen (Rhonda) Halfpop of Mason City; sister Marlene (Dave) Black of Belmond; and sister-in-law Patty Halfpop.
