Belmond, Iowa -- Wilbur Clark Trowbridge, the son of Henry and Gertrude Clark Trowbridge, was born April 9, 1911, in Nebraska. He was united in marriage to Leola Barkema on August 12, 1941 at Unionville, Missouri.

They lived in Gilmore City, Iowa, where he worked for Midwest Limestone Company for more than thirty years. In 1980 they retired to Griffin, Georgia.

Wilbur died on Saturday, June 7, 1986, at the Griffin Spalding Hospital in Griffin, Georgia.

He leave to cherish his memory his wife Leola, daughter, Mrs. Roberta Garman of Griffin, Georgia; son, Dennis Trowbridge of Kansas City, Kansas. 8 grandchildren. 3 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ecker of Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Mildred Woods of Marceline, Missouri; and Mrs. Ramona Green of Fenton, Michigan. 3 brothers, Hurschal Trowbridge of Independence, Missouri; Mac Trowbridge of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and D. C. Trowbridge of Ottawa, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
