October 9, 1902 --- June 8 1946

Francis Quigley was born on October 9, 1902 at Goodell, Iowa. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Quigley. He grew to manhood in the community, and at the age of 20 years was united in marriage to Oranna Kinseth. To this union two children were born, Mary Jane who died in infancy, and Paul Francis, now of Belmond.

Francis was living in Des Moines at the time of his death where he was waiting to enter Barber School in order to have his barber's license renewed. He was stricken with pneumonia and died at the Veterans hospital June 8, 1946.

He leaves to mourn his son, Paul, and family; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Quigley; a sister, Mrs. Henry Johnson; a brother, Thomas Quigley; and ten nieces and nephews. Five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Services were at St. Francis church with the Rev. R. A. Ormsby officiating, the final resting place being St. Francis cemetery. Six cousins were pallbearers: Pat and Jim Quigley, James Barry, Pete and John Gaffney and Tom Ryan. Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were Tom and Bill Ryan of Missouri Valley, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Gaffney of Omaha, John Gaffney of Carroll, Bridget Gaffney of Chicago, Dr. and Mrs. J. J. Ryan of Pocahontas, Mrs. Joe Fulton of Fort Dodge and Bess and Grace Quigley of Fort Dodge.
