August 13, 1884 --- November 11, 1950

Cora Elizabeth Cline, the daughter of the late Sarah and William Cline, was born in Monticello, Ia., August 13, 1884. She moved with her parents to Eagle Grove when she was seven years old. It was here she attended school, graduating from the Eagle Grove high school. She attended Iowa State Teachers college and returned to Eagle Grove to teach in the grade schools.

In 1906 she was united in marriage to John Burgess. To this union, one son, William, was born. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1915 and by her son in 1937. In 1918 she was united in marriage to John H. Sweet of Canada. They have made their home in Peoria, Ill. for the past 20 years, moving to Fort Dodge only recently.

Mrs. Sweet was a member of the University Avenue Methodist church in Peoria. She was very active in the Woman's Society of Christian Service of this church.

For the past three months she has been very ill and was taken to Rochester for examination and treatment, on November 7. She passed from this life on November 11 while still at Rochester. In all her illness she was a very loving and patient sufferer. She was deeply devoted to her home, her family and her church.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, John; and one stepson, Hugh. Also two sisters, Dorothy I. Bean of Boone and France M. Eaton, Cedar Rapids, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Her many friends who knew her as a kind and loving person will miss her greatly.
