March 27, 1933 --- August 6, 2018

Delores Balsley, 85, of Webster City, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Delores Maxine Cook was born March 27, 1933 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of James and Lizzie Burbank Cook. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1951. Delores married Wayne O. Balsley on August 13, 1951 in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. Delores was a homemaker.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Ivan) Whitehill of Fort Dodge; granddaughter, Gina Balsley of Webster City; great-grandson, Christopher Anderson of Webster City; brother, Don Cook of California; sisters-in-law, Janice Merz of Fort Dodge, Judy Kunz of Traer, Berneta Balsley of Webster City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Balsley and daughter, Connie Balsley; siblings, Richard Cook, Bernard Cook, Norman Cook, Melvin Cook, Albert Cook and Ileen Lybarger; brother-in-law, Roger Balsley.

Delores was an avid reader and collector of dolls and bells. She enjoyed crocheting, going on family vacations, listening to Elvis Presley and spending time with her beloved cat, Gus.
