Wayne Eugene Alexander
November 22, 1944 ---- January 1, 2019

His journey began on November 22, 1944 in Shubert, Nebraska. Wayne grew up with four sisters and three brothers. He started working at a very young age, including his Uncle Coke’s Carnival. He played football and graduated from Shubert High School in 1963. He then attended Junior College in Eagle Grove, IA, Peru State in NE and received his bachelor’s degree in business from University of Nebraska at Omaha. He married Linda Johnson from Thor, Iowa. While working on oil rigs, they lived in IA, WY and NE, settling where he built their house on three acres near Yutan, NE. They had two children, Troy and Michele and were married for 18 years. Wayne then moved to Omaha.

Wayne worked at Western Electric for several years and did various sales and handy man jobs. He had a motorcycle, car lot and mechanic business in Omaha. He loved flea marketing and sales. This brought him great joy and met many interesting people to converse with. He loved his toys; boats, cars, motorcycles, dune buggies. He always had a dog by his side, he favored English Bulldogs and Dobermans. Wayne was a giver with a big heart.

Wayne found such pleasure in traveling. Many times, he only stayed in the finest quality AAA campgrounds! He loved camping and bonfires, roasting marshmallows and grandkids were a must! Wayne always enjoyed the great outdoors and nature.

He moved to Rulo, NE in 2008 and moved to Papillion, NE in 2014 when his health began to decline. Wayne passed away at Ashland Care Center in NE on January 1, 2019. He will be missed and was loved very much.

His six Grandchildren; Rachel, Matthew, Andrew, Lucas, Troy, Jr. and Jedd, brought him the most joy in the world, whom he loved dearly. Next, to his love for Jesus Christ. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Bonna Alexander, and his sister Joyce Macklin. He is survived by his son Troy (Jody) Alexander; daughter Michele (Joseph) Armetta; grandchildren Troy Jr., Jedd, Rachel, Matthew, Andrew, and Lucas; sisters Twila Hochstein, Nancy Stokes, and Connie Alexander; brothers Gary (Alice), Glenn (Angie), and Landon (Jan) Alexander; and many nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the family.
