Knisley funeral held on Monday

Funeral services were held Monday at Fullerton Funeral Home in Belmond for Willis O. Knisley, 79, who died Friday of last week at Belmond Community hospital. He had been a patient for only three days, but had been in poor health for a period of several years. Rev. Louis H. Miller of Calvary Baptist church at Belmond conducted the funeral. Burial in Amsterdam cemetery was accompanied by Masonic rites. Pallbearers were Merle Ruka, Harold Cunningham, Robert McNutt, Maurice Trumbell, Avery Bier and George Beek.

Born May 16, 1888, near Britt, Willis Orvil Knisley was the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Wilkins) Knisley. He was married on Oct. 18, 1910, to Elizabeth Elder at York, Neb. They lived at Belmond as well as Goodell and Mr. Knisley engaged in carpentering and painting.

Besides his widow, the deceased is survived by two brothers, John and Leslie, living in Canada. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
