July 25, 1893 ---- April 7, 1979

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 10 at the United Methodist Church in Goodell for Edna Arley McNutt, 85, who died April 7 at the Belmond hospital as the result of a stroke. Rev. Donald Griffin officiated. Burial was in Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Edna was born July 25, 1893 in rural Hancock County to William and Vinnie Redmond Albin [Allaben], She received her education in Goodell High School and the Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught both rural and town schools.

She married Robert C. McNutt on September 16, 1919 at Goodell. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her husband, Robert C. McNutt, Goodell; two sons, Robert R. McNutt, Belmond and Gene G. McNutt of Longmont, Colo.; two daughters, Virginia (Mrs. Merlin) Finn of Albuquerque, N. M., and Marilyn Fiestner of Fort Madison; one brother, Hamblin Albin, Traer; and one sister, Dorothy Genes of Flordia; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Casket bearers were Jim Eliason, Kanawha; Jim McNutt, Ankeny; Mike McNutt, Belmond; Garry Meyers, Belmond; Merle Ruka and Vern Schluter of Goodell.
