Services held for Harm G. Katuin
Services for Harm Katuin who died a week ago Tuesday were held Friday at St. John Lutheran church in Belmond. Rev. Harris Hostager and Rev. Conrad Rolland officiated. Burial was in the Amsterdam cemetery at Kanawha. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers selected were Ransom Allen, Raymond Cline, Wilmer Hauge, Merle Ruka, Elmer Smith and Art Zeigler.
Harm Gerald Katuin was born Oct. 11, 1904, at Kanawha, the son of Berend and Anna DeGrotte Katuin. He attended the Kanawha schools and was a member of St. John Lutheran church. On Feb 15, 1928, he was married to Fannie Baker at Britt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, two sons; Ben of Goodell and Marvin of Mason City, four brothers: Albert of Garner, Dick of Kanawha, Ben of Fairmont, Minn., and John of Madera, Calif.; and four sisters: Mrs. Walter (Tillie) Peterson of Crystal Lake, Mrs. Ed (Gertie) Abbas, Shell Rock, Mrs. Maynard (Gennie) Peterson, Britt, and Mrs. Pete (Anna) Paulson, Clarion.
