Dale H. Jeffers, 75, Belmond, died Nov. 5, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Memorial services will be held at a later date with Andrews Funeral Home.

Dale, the son of Hubert and Garnet Jeffers, was born Aug. 1, 1943 in Lancaster, Ohio. He worked at Michigan Carton and General Motors before starting at Eaton Corporation in 1968. When Eaton shut down in Michigan, Dale and his family transferred with the company to Belmond in 1981. He started in Belmond as head of maintenance, then was assigned as tool room supervisor. Dale started an apprenticeship program at NIACC through Eaton for the tool room employees He retired in 1998 after 30 years with the company.

Dale loved camping and fishing on the Mississippi River, golfing with his children Mark and Melissa, and having family gatherings.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Pete Jeffers, Elmer Jeffers and Stan Jeffers; sister Reba Pyles; daughter Tracy Peters; and mother-in-law Betty Mathews. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Janet; son Martin (Susan) Jeffers; son Mark Jeffers; and daughter Melissa Severson; son-in-law Darvin Peters; grandchildren Andrew (Megan) Tillman, Benjamin Jeffers, Hunter Jeffers, Chelsea Jeffers and Michelle Jeffers; great-grandchildren Aubrey and Levi Tillman, Ben Jeffers and Nicoli Roberts; and brother Fred (Carol) Jeffers.
