Veronica Agnes Holliday, daughter of Anton and Dora Michor, was born January 22, 1914, at Hayfield, Minn. She was educated at a county school at Bremer. On Nov. 4, 1955, Veronica was united in marriage with Frank Holliday of Plainfield. They were married at Harmony, Minn. They lived at Osage before coming to Eagle Grove in 1966. Mr. Holliday died in 1965.

Veronica operated the Wright County Nursing Home at Eagle Grove for nine years. She became a companion to the aged when the county home was closed.

Mrs. Holliday died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 1978, at Mercy Hospital, Mason City, at the age of 64. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband. Survivors include two sons, Paul Harrington of Eagle Grove and Thomas Harrington of Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Mary (Mrs. John) Harkema of Eagle Grove; one brother, Mike Michor of Waverly; three sisters, Helen (Mrs. Art) Schuknecht of Waterloo, Leona (Mrs. Ray) Duecker of Tripoli, and Rose Hunt of Waverly; and eight grandchildren.

A scripture service and rosary were held at Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 1. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Norman White officiated and burial was at Calvary Cemetery.
