HOLD MONDAY SERVICES FOR MRS. SARAH VEST
Services for Mrs. Sarah Vest, 70, Dakota City, were held Monday in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with burial in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield. Lindhart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pastor G.D.A. Engelhardt officiated at the rites. Mrs. Vest died Friday morning in Humboldt County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Among the survivors are sons: Howard Vest, Kansas City, MO, Donald Vest, Cedar Rapids; a daughter Mrs. Jon Klover, Lubbock, Tex; seven grandchildren; a brother Halvor Skorpen, Humboldt.
Sarah Skorpen was reared and educated at Dakota City. She graduated Humboldt High School in 1922. In 1931 she married Howard Vest and they lived at Webster City and later moved to Dakota City, where they lived the remainder of their life. Mr. Vest died in 1965. Casketbearers were Merlyn Pollack, Mervin Lowe, Roger Lindeman, Orville Knudson, Victor Jergens, and Kurt Paeper. Mrs. Russell Sime was organist. Arrangement of flowers was in charge of Mrs. Carl Day and Mrs Eilert Sampson and an usher was Ray Wogan.
