May 19, 1843 ---- December 17, 1910

Clarinda Blanchard was born May 19, 1843 in Boone county, Illinois, and was married to Austin Marsh, December 18th 1862. After an illness of about four months she passed away at her home near Renwick, Humboldt County, Iowa, December 17th 1910 at 1 o'clock a.m., aged sixty-seven years, seven months and twenty-eight days. Everything that medical skill could accomplish. aided by ministrations of a devoted husband and children, was done, but her life's work was finished. She was converted about forty-seven years ago, and since that time has lived a consistent christian life, doing much in her quiet, unassuming way to alleviate the suffering and sorrow of the distressed. The funeral service conducted by Rev. Nicholson was held in the Methodist church at Renwick at 11 o'clock a.m. December 19th. The well filled church and number of friends and neighbors who gathered at the home for a short service, were a fitting tribute of the honor and respect in which Mrs. Marsh was held by all who knew her. The sermon was preached from one of her favorite texts Matthew 8:33. A double quartet furnished beautiful and toughing music.

The day following her death was her forty-eighth wedding anniversary. She is survived by her loving companion of so many years, two daughters, one son, three sisters and one brother. One daughter died in infancy. The oldest child was born just forty seven years to the hour preceeding the time of her mother's death. Mrs. Marsh was laid to rest in Vernon Cemetery at Renwick, Iowa.

Card of thanks: Austin Marsh, Mrs. J. J. Hathaway, E. A. Marsh and Lizzie A. Marsh
