12 December 1872 ---- 18 February 1942

Herbert M. Halsey died Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at his room in the Harry Cline residence on South Jackson Avenue. He was taken seriously ill about 5 o'clock the same morning. The day preceding his death he was up and around as usual. Tentative funeral arrangements call for the services at the Kubitschek & Kastler Funeral home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow, Friday afternoon. Mr. Halsey is survived by four children, one son living in Chicago, a daughter in Washington, D.C., and two small children living with relatives in Minnesota. One brother, William Halsey, also survives, who wired yesterday from Billings, Mont., that he would arrive here Friday noon.
