October 19, 1930 ---- August 25, 2018

Donna Joyce Wehrle passed away at age 87 on 8/25/18 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on 10/19/30 in Dows, IA to Everett and Ellen (Dahlgren) Denby. She later moved to Des Moines, where she attended East High, before moving to Clarion. She married Elbert Wehrle in Des Moines in 1950 and raised three children. In 1969 she became the director of Girl Scout Camp Sacajawea in Boone for 8 years. She later became the director of Boone County's Homemaker Services. She and El lived in a home they built in the country, and she enjoyed the birds, gardening, and crafts. She made wood-burning art that she sold at crafts shows around Iowa.

Donna moved to the Twin Cities in her later years to be near family. She is survived by her children - Sandy Walker of Salem, OR, Dean Wehrle of West Des Moines, and Nancy Gregory, of Blaine, MN, and their families. A private memorial was held. We will miss her love, humor, and conversations. But we look forward to seeing her again together in the presence of Jesus.
