27 November 1854 --- 12 March 1915

Rasmus Vevle was born near Bergen, Norway, November 27, 1854, and died Friday morning March 12, 1915, of Progressive paralysis at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 13 days. November 21, 1882, he was married to Miss Britta Leetun and they came to Eagle Grove in the spring of 1890. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and four children, Mrs. P. B. Hoveland, Eagle Grove; Oliver Vevle, Ft. Dodge; Carl Vevle, Eagle Grove and Mendus Vevle, Kenyon, Minn. He also leaves two sisters and one brother, all living in Norway. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the United Lutheran church, burial in Rose Hill cemetery. The many friends of the Vevles extend their sympathy in their bereavement
