Former Hancock Resident Killed in Louisiana

Klemme, Iowa - Word has been received here that a former resident, Mrs. Carl (Ida) Suckow, was killed in an automobile accident on April 16 at Ruston, La. Mrs. Suckow taught school for 11 years in Hancock County before her marriage on May 26, 1918. They lived in Garner for several years where he was employed by the Skelly Oil Company. She was born Nov. 16, 1893, at Klemme, the daughter of Herman and Martha Ludeke. In 1933 she and her husband moved to Ridder, La., and later to Jennings, La., where they owned and operated a business. They decided to retire and move to Springfield, Mo., where their son lives. They were on their way to their new home when the accident occurred.

Surviving are her husband, Carl; two sons, Warren and Dean; two grandsons; five sisters, Mrs. Art (Emma) Schoenwetter, Mrs. Fred (Clara) Schlichting, Mrs. William (Lydia) Ax, Mrs. Elmer (Sarah) Weisbrod and Mrs. George (Mary) Schoenwetter, and two brothers, Henry Ludeke and Ralph Ludeke.
